NSW’s biggest car washing to close its doors by 2019 after the closure of its previous two facilities due to the Great Barrier Reef crisis.
A spokesperson for NSW Car Wash said it was closing two car wash facilities in Sydney’s south on September 3, 2019 and Brisbane on October 9.
“We want to be very clear that we have no plans for closing any more car wash operations in the future,” the spokesperson said.
New South Wales is facing the second wave of flooding after a series of tropical cyclones swept across the state and flooded homes and businesses.
The floods and flooding in the NSW state capital of Sydney has claimed more than 20 lives.
Hundreds of thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes after rising waters inundated streets, rivers and beaches.
Australia’s most populous state has had its worst flooding since 1997 when it had just over 5,000 residents.
People have been evacuated from flood-hit areas including the city of Manly in NSW, where residents have been sheltering in tents.
Queensland has also experienced its worst rainfall and flooding since the Queensland Flood of 1997.
More than 3,000 homes have been damaged by the flooding in Queensland.
Residents in South Australia have been asked to avoid the area due to high water and rising water levels in the state.
