NASCAR’s NASCAR All-Star Weekend in Atlanta was the biggest ever in Atlanta.
The first time we were there was the day before we left.
It was on a Friday night.
There was only one other place in town and it was only open on a Saturday night.
We got there early, and the entire crowd was out.
There were people walking up and down the street.
We were like, “Holy cow, we have an All-American here!”
The guy we were with that day was named Tony Kanaan.
He’s a friend of mine, and we’ve known each other since college.
He said, “I’ve been going to this carwash on Saturday nights for years.
This is the best time ever.”
It’s just been crazy, it’s been like nothing we’ve ever seen.
And I think the main reason for that was because we were the only people there.
We had no one in the front row.
So the fans are always on the front, so when they come out to the back, we’ve got a lot of people there, so they get to know us.
We’ve got to have that extra presence because they’re like, We know this guy.
They see us coming.
I think it makes it even better when they see us walking down the road and people are just coming up and cheering for us.
There’s not a whole lot of guys in there, and they get a little jealous of that.
And I think that’s one of the things that makes NASCAR special.
NASCAR has the best fans in the world.
And they come up to us and they cheer us on.
So they know what to expect and that’s the way you should be treated.
I love it, because I think we all love NASCAR.
But the fans also get to experience some of the biggest events in the sport.
And so for me, the All-Stars are the biggest day of the season.
I know I’ve never been to a weekend like that, and I’m happy to be part of that for the fans.
