A car wash in Miami Beach, Florida, is closed for 1 day after the water supply was affected by a bacterial outbreak.
The water supply has been shut off in several locations in the city and at one gas station, as well as several other businesses.
Local media reported that the car wash was shut down by about 1 p.m. local time Friday after an incident involving a water supply issue.
The Miami Herald reported that there was a water leak in the parking lot of the store.
The Miami Water Department issued a press release on Friday afternoon saying the leak occurred on the second floor of the building.
“The water service is being restored as a precautionary measure.
All customers will receive a notice advising them of the incident.
No other customers or employees were impacted,” the release read.
The city’s water supply is being monitored and the city is working with its contractors to provide backup water supplies.
